Surf Expo Seminar Series

BRA (Board Retailers Association) will bring you insightful speakers and industry/retail experts to give tips and tools for your retail business. Don’t miss this opportunity for you and your staff to increase retailing knowledge.

Integrating Freediving and/or Spearfishing into Your Retail Store:
Thursday Jan 12, 2012 & 11:30am
Presented by:
Sheri Daye, Dive Show Producer and Host of Speargun Hunter
Dimitris Kollias, Deep Worldwide Owner and Spearfishing Professional

This seminar will explain what this latest craze is all about and how retailers can benefit. With few barriers to entry and instant gratification, it's no wonder that it's a growing trend. Although it can be taken to an extreme with long breath-holds and hunting for pelagics, even kids can enjoy the simplicity of snorkeling or diving on a shallow reef. The advent of some very good freediving schools has opened up a whole new world to "regular" people. Dimitris will first demonstrate the beauty and the thrill of freediving and spearfishing through video, and then explain why surfers are being lured into this fast growing sport. Sheri will tell retailers what it takes to bring freediving and/or spearfishing into their shops -- the educational resources, the products, the marketing strategies, and more.

Discover how the implementation and use of the right Point of Sale software can make it easier to take your business to the next level.
