It's Go Time, Not Snow Time

God, I miss snowboarding!

We have some opportunities to do it while working for Surf Expo. Definitely! Catch a day in Cali between ASR and SIA, maybe. The WSIA Summit in the February, when "Hit the Slopes" is part of the itinerary! Aside from those, it's a hell of a lot more expensive to travel from ATL for snow than it was in NY. You can't just "drive up to Stratton" for the day. I had an awful experience trying to ride in NC, but hey, it's snow! It's also a very long drive.

I had been hoping to go out to stay with my boyfriend in Hood River and catch some turns at Meadows and maybe Timberline. Love is blind and also Love of Snow is blind, but I couldn't leave at Surf Expo Go Time. Part of it is my fault, too. When I was home for Christmas, Mountain Creek was just a bit too far to get to for some reason.

Maybe one day (after I pay my dues) I'll be cool like Sean O. [Editor's Note: Keep dreaming Vasil]. I'll work and live from a mountain, shooting dashboard video of avalanches and locals hitting homemade kickers (Is this the second blog where I pitch to work from a remote location? I love ATL. Seriously. It's just not near sea or snow).

The point is, I'm still Snow Day-less. And, yes, I'm whining about it. This is my f--king blog. I can whine. You don't have to read it. (thought I'd throw in an f-bomb to see if my blog will get as much attention as when Cullen drops 'em! [Editor's Note: dmg world media does not condone the flagrant misappropriation of the f-bomb. Your usage here has been noted in your permanant file.] Then again, no one 's life is threatened here. And no toke-toke pass in this coffee house I'm blogging from. Ha Ha!)

Back to the whine--I have a sweet new board. My NeverSummer Infinity. Have you a ridden a NS? WHY NOT? It's like the last board that is built in this country, not farmed out to China. Yeah yeah, I know we need to outsource to meet the demand and compete, WAH WAH. I'm not a manufacturer, so I support U.S. made. Above and beyond that, the durability is unmatched. I've never seen anyone cash in on the three-year -- YES THREE-YEAR -- warranty they offer on 95% of their boards. I CAN NOT WAIT to try it out. [Editor's Note: What are you, on their payroll? And what are you doing in a coffee house? Get back to work!]

Atlanta is 60 degrees today. It's beautiful for a run or a bike ride. But I want the pow pow. I'll be in the OR in 12 days. I'll see it soon. But I'm missing it. Four days until Expo. 12 days until snow. WOOHOO!

This was a very funny blog. Editor could use a few F-bombs but I guess someone has to be the bad guy/girl. Hope to see you at the show.
