Three Weeks Out
Nothing eventful has happened this week that would make for a spectacular blog.
Nothing except everything.
LAUNCH winners being chosen and notified. Our entire staff buzzing about the office selling out our final spaces. Throwing together last-minute sponsorships and events. Lots of twelve hour days ordering literature racks, frantically finishing expense reports. Fun stuff and not so fun stuff. (I have to say, my job is pretty awesome. There is so little of the "not so fun stuff").
A trip out to Waterman's Ball is a welcome pause in the madness. Thank the powers that be that I don't have a Crackberry. I'll check my messages later on my laptop. The one I have with me right now on the plane.
Dammit! I just spilled my free Mile High Mojito. The one I was set to receive for zero dollars because I have no underseat storage space and my tv won't work so I can't play trivia and they feel bad. Hmph. I am the most restless soul on an airplane.
This blog is going nowhere fast. Well, 524 miles per hour, actually, as per the guy's tv in front of me. I'm sitting here playing with mac's photo booth and periodically checking my internet as if by some miracle it will pick up a wireless signal 36,000 feet over Oklahoma.
The flight attendant brought me another mojito!
Point being, things are all over the place. Organized chaos, which won't come together until the show in three--oh my god, yes-- three weeks. By then everything will be settled and smooth. 'Till then you might just get sent to my voicemail. But I'll call you back ASAP. I promise.
