Are those fireworks I hear in the Surf Expo offices? No, just the balloons from Operation Balloon Fish!
This year we celebrated Fish’s birthday a little differently.
On Monday, October 12, after he had left the office for the day, several of our co-workers spent the early evening blowing up lots of balloons and adding them to his office. By the time they were done, the door to his office would barely close, as the room was filled to the brim with balloons.
Fish arrived on Tuesday morning, just like any other day, except today, when he attempted to open the door to his office, Operation Balloon-Fish was in full swing! Balloons filled every inch of his office and blocked his entry, not to mention to his desk and computer and telephone.
The celebration was culminated with an Oktoberfest Potluck luncheon, complete with bratwurst & sauerkraut, cupcakes decorated to resemble pumpkins and an afternoon ice cream sundae bar. What a great way to celebrate a birthday in October!
