That is such a loaded question these days, isn’t it? Well this week, I am happy to say that part of my world is “new” at Surf Expo! I have been with Surf Expo in varying depths for several years now, but this week I added Buyer Relations Manager to my title.
Some of you may know me. For many years I have negotiated the hotel rates for Surf Expo.
I have also been lucky enough to get to put on the Bi-annual Surf Expo/Oakley Golf Tournament at our show each Winter and Fall. I can usually be found at the Registration Desk during the show, and sneaking back to my room before things get too crazy each evening at the show, in hopes of diminishing the dark circles under my eyes for the next day of fun at Surf Expo.
I have been so lucky to make some great friends while working with Surf Expo (Wendell Wong with O’Neill, Sabrina Griffith with Billabong, Joe McNulty and Yogi Ybarra with Oakley, Jill & Greg Bennett with Birthday Suits, to name just a few), and I am so excited that I will have the opportunity to meet more as I begin my new role in Buyer Relations. My goal is to share my eagerness and enthusiasm about my job at Surf Expo with you, as I help to connect Retailers and Manufacturers to one another. My goal is to make sure that you find what you need at Surf Expo.
I can’t wait to see you at Surf Expo!

I remember how fantastic your customer service was when I was looking for a room at the last minute a few years back before coming on board at Surf Expo. Since then, I can see that I was 100% correct with those opinions. I think the swim, resort, and boutique buyers will be very fortunate to have you working on their behalf. Congrats Kathy!
