Battery Charger

The buzz around our office of late has revolved a round the "newest" 3G edition of the Apple iPhone. While the majority of us still communicate with the world through our standard issue BlackBerry's, I must admit there is something enticing about Apple's new wonder gadget.

Apple has done a fantastic job reinventing the "cell phone" into a true personal communication device and the industry has responded with new offerings from all the major manufacturers.

Apple has the jump on everyone simply by providing its usual superior design into a device that offers exactly what the market was calling for: one device for text, telephone, music, Web browsing, and GPS. Buzz is good for everyone in an industry and Apple's touchscreen has raised the bar for all other cellular manufacturers.

If you communicate like many of the world's "crackberry addicts" -- or relish the time on your iPhone -- you can appreciate the flaw in this communication platform: the battery.

No matter how cool the technology, or how important that incoming e-mail is, without a charged battery the best technology is worthless. Without juice there are no bells, no whistles, no buzz.

You see, the essential element of all our devices comes down to the battery charger. It provides one simple function by systematically recharging you device on a regular basis.

I like to think that Surf Expo acts much like a battery charger, where twice a year exhibitors and buyers can plug in to recharge their businesses. Our show gives a platform to highlight industry leaders and allows for others to look, listen, and learn, creating the buzz that our industry needs.

We look forward to helping you recharge your business at our show this September.

P.S .- Keep a lookout for me. I will be the one holding the new Blackberry Thunder -- and I always carry an extra charger in my bag, just for friends.
