Skullcandy Announces Key Executive Appointments

Skullcandy, a developer of core audio products, announces the addition of five industry leaders - Luke Edgar, Todd Finney, Tom Brady, Clarke Miyasaki and Chris Cooper - to its executive team, reinforcing the company’s strategic focus on the core and specialty markets. With year-over-year growth and a strong presence in the U.S. and more than 35 countries around the globe, the expansion of Skullcandy’s team continues the company’s momentum and industry edge.

“Skullcandy’s success and power in the core market is based on the talented and passionate team behind the brand. We are thrilled to add five more of the industry’s elite to our winning team,” stated Jeremy Andrus, new President of Skullcandy. “As we continue to bring new products to our core customers, Luke, Todd, Tom, Clarke and Chris will be influential in helping us to reinforce our focused commitment to our core dealers, providing them with more limited edition product and merchandising support.”

Luke Edgar, Director of Core Sales and Dealer Stokage, will be responsible for providing specialty dealers and shop employees the tools to connect to the music culture, essential to Skullcandy’s long term vision. In addition to being a sponsored rider, working retail, team manager and sales rep, Edgar’s 17 plus years of industry experience includes 10 years at K2 Snowboards as Sales and Brand Manager. Prior to joining Skullcandy, he was Vice President of Sales & Marketing for Quicksilver/Rossignol Group where he worked with their snowboard brands.

Todd Finney, Director of Product Design and Development, brings nearly 25 years of product line concept to completion to his role at Skullcandy. Finney will hone his talents of line building, working with the design team, and developing, unique products to help perpetuate the tremendous momentum of the Skullcandy brand. In this elevated role, Finney will be responsible for ultimately delivering a market-leading product line to the Skullcandy retail partners.

Tom Brady, Director of Marketing, will oversee the action sports marketing, sports partnership, collaborations and all integration projects. With a long history of involvement in the action sports industry, Brady comes to Skullcandy with a background in sales, marketing, and product development as he previously worked with companies such as O’Neill, Burton, and Smith. Brady’s knowledge of the industry will be vital in continuing Skullcandy’s customer growth and core collaboration outreach.

Clarke Miyasaki, Vice President of Business Development, brings expertise in business development to his new role at Skullcandy. He will oversee and drive strategic partnerships and collaborations for Skullcandy to enhance and further strengthen the company’s leading role in the core and specialty markets. Miyasaki has previously worked in venture capital and start-up environments, most recently serving as the Vice President of Business Development at Logoworks, which was acquired by Hewlett-Packard in May 2007.

Chris Cooper, Core Catalyst, is not only a veteran sales rep but has infused his passion for snow sports and the action sports industry for more than 15 years. In his new role at Skullcandy, Cooper will be addressing Skullcandy’s core market needs from a product and brand capacity while promoting the company’s culture in New York City. Prior to joining Skullcandy, he worked for several companies in the snow, skate and surf industries as a top performing salesman for premier brands such as Bonfire, Neff, Sanuk, and Salomon. Cooper’s strong belief in Skullcandy’s culture can be seen in his mantra of “ride everything with your heart on your sleeve”.
