Countdown To Image Awards 6

There’s less than a month until the 2008 SIMA Image Awards, and this year’s event promises to uphold the tradition of sober, dignified, and well thought out acceptance speeches.

Naw, what is true, though, is that the SIMA Image Awards remain incredibly meaningful for winners and nominees alike. Introduced five years ago, the goal of the SIMA Image Awards is to identify the surf industry's most influential companies and recognize them for their efforts to advance and grow the industry over the past year.

Having it on the beach in San Jose Del Cabo has just given a certain joie de vivre to the festivities—or maybe it’s the vast sums of tequila strategically placed on each table that sets the tone.So what should attendees expect?
