You should know me as the sales rep for the Skate section of Surf Expo. But I also own an art gallery in Atlanta, the dooGallery (www.dooGallery.com). On December 5th I will hold my 4th annual skate deck art show. I’m hoping you might want to get involved.
I am looking for artists in the industry to submit an art deck. If you are not an artist, perhaps you’d pass this information to your designer, your marketing department, a friend—heck, anyone you think would be interested. The art decks can be made on or from a skate deck. I am also accepting all forms of art that pertain to skateboarding: Photos, paintings, posters, sculptures will be accepted.
The show’s proceeds will be given to the Toys for Tots campaign.
The art decks will be sold in a silent auction. Opening bids start at $50. 50% from the sale will be given to the charity the other 50% goes to the artist. Shipping costs will be reimbursed first, then the percentage split will be made.
For the other art items, 50% goes to the charity, 40% to the artist, 10% to the gallery. Shipping costs will be reimbursed first, then the percentage split will be made. The artist sets the price. These items will not be sold in the silent auction.
If you can not participate with art, you can still participate by donating swag to be raffled off during the event. All sales from the raffle tickets will be given to the charity.
