If you were not aware I own an art gallery here in Atlanta. For the past 5 years I have enjoyed holding my own art shows as well as hosting shows for other promoters and artists. The shows I have enjoyed the most were the shows the fund raiser shows. I plan to host more charity events at the gallery for the next 5 years.
This weekend’s show is a fund raiser for the SurfRider Foundation. More specifically it is for the new Atlanta SurfRider chapter. It is hard to believe but there actually are surfers in Atlanta. We all admit to being stuck and land locked living here. But this is where we call home so we are making the best of it.
This new chapter’s intent is to mainly clean the waterways that flow to the oceans. We will clean the rivers and creeks of pollutants before they find there way to the surf breaks. As a group we have about 200 members that go on group surf safaris. Usually in packs of 20 we travel 5 hours to the closest coast line that forecasts a swell. While there, we also take part in beach clean ups.

The SURFRIDER FOUNDATION is launching a chapter in Atlanta. This event is a membership drive; fundraising event at the DooGallery on the evening of March 14 from 7 - 12pm. Donations is $10.00. The party includes complimentary drinks, beer, surf drinks, food and live performances by:
