Academy Award-Nominated Director of Super Size Me & Documentary
Morgan Spurlock is an award-winning writer, director, and producer best known for his immersive explorations of social issues. He is also the host of the Current TV series, 50 Documentaries to See Before You Die, and produces the online series Failure Club. His latest film, POM Wonderful Presents:The Greatest Movie Ever Sold, premiered at the 2011 Sundance Film Festival. A documentary about branding, advertising, and product placement, the film was funded by branding, advertising, and product placement. Showing up at interviews in a suit blatantly promoting the film's sponsors, Spurlock makes some serious points about the ubiquity of branding in our daily lives through his tongue-in-cheek approach.
Presentation: "The Greatest Lecture Ever Presented"
We live in an age where it's tough even to walk down the street without someone trying to sell you something. It's at the point where practically the entire American experience is brought to us by some corporation. Utilizing cutting-edge tools of comic exploration and total self-exploitation, Spurlock dissects the world of advertising and marketing by using his personal integrity as currency to sell out to the highest bidder.

Presentation: “Orchestrating an Ambush”
Traditional advertising alone no longer works. You can forget about audience, the user comes with expectations — to be entertained, informed or provided utility. Advertising? Marketing? Social amplification? Whatever you wanna call it, you still gotta get people to give a damn. Brands that get it are writing a whole new playbook using Google and Youtube.
