TransWorld Business Partners With Surf Expo To Present "THE SHOWROOM" Fashion Shows

TransWorld Business, the leading trade journal for the surf, skate, snowboarding and action sports markets, has partnered with Surf Expo to present three special fashion shows during Surf Expo.

May 9, 2011 — TransWorld Business, the leading trade journal for the surf, skate, snowboarding and action sports markets, has partnered with Surf Expo to present three special fashion shows during Surf Expo.

Dubbed "THE SHOWROOM by TransWorld Business," these swimwear and women's apparel fashion shows will occur at 4:00 p.m. on each of the three days of Surf Expo.

"I was particularly impressed with the magazine feature Transworld Business produced last year for the swim and women's apparel markets, the quality of the photography and the cohesiveness of the overall presentation," says Surf Expo Brand Manager Sean O'Brien. "Our goal with THE SHOWROOM fashion shows is to bring that feature to life on the floor of Surf Expo, utilizing Transworld's top-notch studio photography, behind-the-scenes video of the photo shoot, and also additional creativefrom the participating brands."

According to Transworld Business Publisher Adam Cozens, "THE SHOWROOM gives Surf Expo exhibitors a great opportunity for important exposure both before the trade show and while those thousands of retailers are gathered on the show floor in Orlando, September 8-10."

"Each year we spend significant time and effort making sure our swimwear and women's apparel features are the best they can be, presenting the industry's top brands with great photography and relevant information for retail buyers," says Transworld Business Editor In Chief Joshua Hunter. "Extending this feature on to the floor of Surf Expo through THE SHOWROOM is great for not only the participating brands, but for retailers looking for important new looks to bring to their businesses and customers."

Offering complimentary champagne and cash bar reception immediately prior to the show on Thursday and Friday, THE SHOWROOM will occur on Surf Expo's The Stage, found at the end of the main swim and resort Boardwalk aisle at the show. "With an enhanced audio visual appeal, improved runway models and styling, and the best new fashions in the industry, we expect THE SHOWROOM will significantly raise the bar of our on-floor fashion shows," says Surf Expo Show Director Roy Turner.

THE SHOWROOM will be supported by feature articles in both TransWorld Business and TransWorld SURF, a consumer calendar produced by TransWorld SURF, video look books of the participating brands looped throughout the duration of the show, and significant pre-show marketing by both Surf Expo and TransWorld Media.
